Guide for Authors
The publishing scope of Journal of Glaciology and Geocryology covers cryosphere science and its branch disciplines, such as glaciology, cryosphere science, cold zone engineering, cryosphere hydrology, cryosphere ecology and other disciplines, with the focus on glaciers (ice caps), process and mechanism of key cryospheric elements (such as snow, frozen soil, and sea ice), impact and adaptation of cryospheric changes, and related basic and applied research on global changes. The journal is aimed at publishing ideas, theories and methods that are innovative, high-level and important to the construction of the national economy, disseminating scientific knowledge related to cryospheric science and sustainable development, promoting academic exchanges at home and abroad, and serving the economic and social sustainable development of the frozen circle and its affected area.

3. Manuscript Requirements
3.1 Plagiarism, data falsification, redundant publishing and multiple submission of one manuscript are strictly prohibited. This magazine uses the CNKI plagiarism detection system for plagiarism detection. The repetition rate should not exceed 10%.
3.2 Manuscript should have clear arguments, prominent topic, reliable data and concise text. Each paper should be about 8 000 ~ 10 000 Chinese characters in length.
3.3 There should be a Chinese abstract of more than 400 Chinese characters reflecting the core content of the paper and written in four parts including research purposes, arguments, methods, and conclusions, which are self-contained and independent. An English abstract of more than 600 words should be provided, reflecting the main research methods and core content of the article. After the Chinese and English abstract, 3 to 6 keywords shall be listed.
3.4 All manuscripts shall use the legal measurement unit of the People's Republic of China, and shall be expressed with standard symbols. Professional terms are used in accordance with the national standards. It is recommended to refer to the revised edition of the English-Chinese Cryosphere Science Glossary and the revised edition of the Cryosphere Science Dictionary. The full text of the same terms, measurement units, person names, and place names should be consistent throughout the paper. Chinese and foreign letters and symbols in the manuscript must be distinct as for uppercase and lowercase, normal and italic, black and white, superscript and subscript.
3.5 Table should adopt three-line style, and figures are limited in number. Tables and figures are arranged in the corresponding positions in the text, and titles and annotations should be both in Chinese and English. Figures should have clear lines and characters with resolutions above 600 dpi.
3.6 If the manuscript is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China or projects at national, provincial or ministerial levels, please mark it in the footnote on the title page, and indicate the project category, name and number. For example: Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (21805104; 21802048).
3.7 Introduction of the first author and the corresponding author should be provided in the footnote on the title page. The first author's profile includes: name, professional title, education background (graduation school, degree, graduation year), research direction, and E-mail. The corresponding author's profile includes: name, professional title, research direction, and E-mail.
3.8 Do not split the content in columns. All levels of headings and numbers in the text are written in the top grid. The headings are numbered as 0; 1; 1.1; 1.1.1; 2; 2.1. In general headings should be with 3 levels, and the maximum is 4 levels.
3.9 References (published literature) must be listed when citing other people's work, materials, data, and figure/tables. Internal materials and data can be indicated in footnotes, in accordance with relevant provisions of Information and Documentation — Rules for Bibliographic References and Citations to Information Resources (GB/T 7714-2015). The reference list adopts the "sequential coding system", in which references are coded according to the order of appearance in the article and the serial number is placed in square brackets at the upper right corner of the citing words. In order to support databases processing, the references listed after the text, if in Chinese, should be translated into English, and the original Chinese literature information should be placed below.
